In Islam, sincerity, or Ikhlas, is the fundamental aspect that defines a believer’s relationship with Allah. Niyyah (intention) is a key element in determining the sincerity of any action, and it is not enough to merely perform tasks without a sincere heart. The hadith states, “Actions are judged by intentions, and every person will be rewarded according to what they intended.” Whether in kindness, charity, or personal conduct, sincerity ensures that believers act in accordance with Allah’s will, earning divine reward and fostering inner peace.
